Christopher Street Day

For the 47th time, Pride will be celebrated in Berlin at the end of July. Christopher Street Day commemorates the first major uprising of the LGBTQ community in New York against police violence. In Berlin, Pride is celebrated with a large parade through the city, among other events.

Once a year, the University of the Arts invites visitors to open house tours, where students showcase their works. Additionally, there are performances, fashion shows, film screenings, concerts, and, of course, food and drinks available on the campus.

International Literature Festival

Readings, talks, encounters: during the International Literature Festival, or ilb for short, the organizers are putting on a unique programme of literature and literature education, with venues all over the city.

Jazzfest Berlin

As one of the oldest and most renowned jazz festivals in Europe, the Jazzfest has been bringing icons of the jazz scene and up-and-coming talents to Berlin for many decades. The venue is the Berliner Festspiele.
